Today, Hoa Lu is one of most famous destination for tourists. Hoa Lu District (formerly Yen Khanh District) is covered by Gia Vien District at the North, by Yen Mo District at the South, Nho Quan District at the West and Tam Diep City, and by Nam Dinh Province at the East. Let’s beginning with Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, a national relics related to the three dynasties in feudal history of Vietnam ( Dinh , Le and Ly dynasties at the 10th and 11th centuries). This area consists of defense earthen walls, palaces, temples and shrines which make magnificent fairy scenery.Firstly, it mentioned to Dinh Temple and Le Temple. Coming here, visitor have a chance to see temple built in honor of the emperors Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh, their sons and Queen Duong Van Nga. Every year, on the 10th-13th of March of lunar calendar in Truong Yen commune, the local people here organize the festival to honor two kings of Dinh and Le dynasty.
Over more than 1000 year, but these temples are well preserved. Besides, Hoa Lu is also known by some old beautiful pagoda as Kim Ngan Pagoda, Nhat Tru Pagoda, Dau Long Pagoda… By the historical value and different architecture, this location attracts many tourist take incense offering and visiting every year. It is considered as a “Ha Long on land” of our country. According to statistics, Trang An has a diversity in flora and fauna systems, among them 10 species are listed in the Red Book of Vietnam. Furthermore, the natural limestone system aged 32 million years to 6.000 years will bring to Trang a great scenery. Many spectacular cave are here as Ba Giot, Seo, Dia Linh, Nau Ruou, etc. This is the ideal destination for who loves nature and wants to discover it.
Now, Ninh Binh has developed an application site of Trang An for recognition by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage. Being a poetic and inspiration natural scenery, Tam Coc – Bich Dong is considered as a “A terrestrial Halong bay or “second nicest grotto of Vietnam”.This complex is covered in an area of 350.3 hectares, far from Ninh Binh city about 7km in which Tam Coc means threes grotto, including of Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Bac caves. Meanwhile, Bich Dong is the name of a beautiful pagoda, comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas.
